A gravel garden in hitchin, hertfordshire
My client, a keen gardener, wanted an area of her garden in Hitchin, containing two redundant leaking ponds redesigned. We agreed on the idea of a gravel garden, using grasses and colourful perennials. Large drifts of Allium filled the gap between spring and summer. As my client was not as sprightly as she had been in the past, we planted through a weed-suppressant membrane, reducing the need for weeding. Stepping stones led through the gravel to a substantial patio with a new inset stone water-feature.
